What did you study and why?

I studied a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Management at Curtin University. I chose this degree as I had a keen interest in the commercial side of oil and gas and wanted to upskill in order to move towards the career path I was interested in.

What was your pathway into Woodside (SVP, Grad Program)?

I joined Woodside in 2013 as an operations trainee, and did my initial two year traineeship up on the Pluto LNG plant before working offshore on the Nganhurra FPSO as a production technician after which I transferred to the graduate program.

What made you sign up for a student pathway into Woodside?

I was studying university during my time working in operations, and as was nearing the end of my degree I was looking to shift my career to something more focused on my chosen area of study. I reached out to one of the Mangers in Commercial and organised a phone call to discuss options. This person was very supportive and recommended I join the graduate program as a commercial analyst.

Tell us about one thing you have learnt or are proud of about your journey through our student pathway into the role you are in today?

I have learned (among many things) that if you want something for your career, the doors are there for you to open up. A network of supportive colleagues is always there for you and Woodside is a big company with almost endless opportunity for those who thrive on learning new things and challenging themselves.
