And the winner is...

What a season for Fremantle Dockers captain Nat Fyfe.

On top of winning his second Brownlow medal, Fyfe won his third Doig Medal with a clear victory at the presentation dinner at Crown Ballroom on Saturday night. Fyfe was also recognised by his teammates winning the Players Award, demonstrating the values set by the group at the start of the season.

Fyfe’s success has not come without its challenges, breaking his leg in 2015 and then again in 2016, questioning whether he could get back to his best performance.

This only drove Fyfe to return to form, better than ever. Fyfe said, “I knew that if I dialled into my preparation and worked at my role as captain with my other leaders, I could get back to being the best player that I possibly could be and this is incredibly rewarding for the effort that I’ve put in.”
