Geomatics covers the acquisition, management, analysis and delivery of geospatial information. This includes the fields of surveying, geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial data management, cartography, remote sensing and geodesy.

Within Woodside, geomatics is responsible for planning, executing and managing surveys, the provision of positioning services, the management and usage of geospatial information and technology across the company, as well as providing geodetic advice. Geomatics works across the entire hydrocarbon exploration and production life cycle due to the critical role of geospatial data.

Woodside acknowledges Indigenous people's connections to land, water and community. We pay our respects to ancestors and elders - past, present and emerging. We recognise the many contributions Indigenous people make to our business, as community members and employees.
