In 2016, 81% of senior leader appointments were internal promotions. We also slightly increased the ratio of graduate hires over mid-career external hire from 66% in 2015 to 67% in 2016.
Woodside also continues to focus on building internal capability by providing all employees with high-quality learning experiences and development opportunities. In 2016, we saw a 20% increase in cross-functional rotations and broadening assignments.
