Sustainability Awards

Woodside recognises outstanding sustainability performance by its employees through an awards process.

Each category winner receives $5,000 to donate to their nominated charity. The overall winner is recognised with the Woodside Chairman’s Award and receives an additional A$10,000 for donation.

In 2009 the Chairman’s Award was presented to “Pluto Trunkline Dredging”. Find out more about our 2009 categories winners by clicking on each project.

In 2007 the Chairman’s Award went to “North West Australian climate change study”. The category winners were:

  • Environment - Pluto LNG Cultural Management
  • Our people - health and safety – Establishing a safe shipping fairway from Dampier to Glomar Shoal
  • Our people - leadership and culture – Gender Diversity Initiative
  • Sustainable communities – Mokowe Hospital upgrade, Lamu, Kenya
  • Innovation and technology – North West Australian climate change study
