Wheatstone LNG is a world-class asset adding additional volumes to Woodside’s annual production.

Production commenced at the Wheatstone onshore facility in 2017, and once fully operational it will contribute over 13 MMboe of Woodside’s annual LNG and domestic gas production.

The Wheatstone Project (non-operated) comprises the Wheatstone and Iago fields, an offshore platform, a pipeline to shore and the onshore plant located near Onslow, in Western Australia's Pilbara region. The onshore plant includes a two-train 8.9 mtpa (1.16 mtpa Woodside share) LNG development and a 200 TJ-a-day domestic gas plant. LNG and condensate will be exported and domestic gas will be transported via pipeline to the Dampier Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.

The Julimar Development Project (Woodside-operated) comprises the Julimar and Brunello fields which will connect to the Wheatstone offshore platform and supply gas to the Wheatstone onshore plant.

The Wheatstone Joint Venture participants include Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC), Chevron (operator), Woodside, Kyushu Electric Power Company, together with PE Wheatstone Pty Ltd, part owned by JERA.
