Woodside owns and operates a number of world-class oil developments offshore Western Australia.
Woodside has developed FPSO capabilities that extend across engineering design, operations and maintenance, allowing us to operate in remote marine environments with extreme weather conditions.
The Nganhurra FPSO is an oil production facility located 50 kilometres north-west of Exmouth, Western Australia.
The Enfield oil field is connected by flexible flowlines to subsea wells and have been producing since 2006.
Enfield, a substantial oil resource, was discovered in 1999 along with the nearby Vincent and Laverda oil fields in 1998 and 2000 respectively. The name Nganhurra comes from the Baiyungu language. Nganhurra means “we all”, out of respect for current and past Elders.
The cessation of production and permanent departure of the Nganhurra FPSO is expected in Q4 2018.
The Ngujima-Yin FPSO is an oil production facility located 50 kilometres north-west of Exmouth, Western Australia.
Ngujima-Yin is a Thalanjyi word meaning “to dream”.
The Vincent oil field was discovered in 1998 and has been producing since 2008. We operate these production facilities on behalf of our joint venture participant Mitsui E&P Australia.
Production from Vincent will be suspended for approximately 12 months from Q2 2018 to undertake FPSO modifications, which will enable additional production as part of the Greater Enfield Project. In mid-2019, production from Vincent will resume following FPSO modifications, and the Greater Enfield Project drilling campaign will continue.
