The A$440 million Mutineer-Exeter oil project in Western Australia began production in March 2005.
Production capacity is about 100,000 barrels a day, through four wells tied to a floating production, storage and offtake vessel with a storage capacity of 930,000 barrels. There is provision for up to nine wells in the Mutineer field and five in Exeter.
If required, the floating production, storage and offtake vessel has the capacity to inject 150,000 barrels of water per day into the oil field to help with the oil extraction.
