Clontarf students to play curtain-raiser AFL game

 Woodside Cup action.jpg

Students from Clontarf Foundation academies throughout WA will play off for the Woodside Cup in a curtain-raiser to the AFL game between the Fremantle Dockers and Richmond at Patersons Stadium on 18 August.
Dockers stars Stephen Hill and Michael Johnson – himself a Clontarf graduate - will help the boys prepare for the game, as well as give advice on fitness and nutrition, at a special training session at Fremantle Oval the day before the match.
The students playing in the curtain-raiser have been selected to play based on their attendance at school and demonstrated commitment to their studies.
While in Perth the students will also visit Scitech, take a tour of the Dockers’ training facilities, and participate in a careers session with Woodside employees, including Clontarf graduates now employed at the company.
The students were given the opportunity to interview Dockers star Stephen Hill. Click here to watch.
Woodside’s support of both the Clontarf Foundation and the Fremantle Dockers has enabled the game and related activities to take place.
