North Rankin
The massive North Rankin platform, commissioned in 1984, remains one of the largest capacity gas production platforms in the world.
With a capacity to accommodate more than 120 people, North Rankin is the hub of the Woodside-operated North West Shelf Venture gas and condensate production operations.
The North Rankin platform is linked via a sub-sea pipeline to the Goodwyn A platform, located 23kms to the south-east as well as the floating oil producing facility, the Cossack Pioneer, located 30kms to the east.
North Rankin supplies gas and condensate to the venture's onshore gas plant located about 135kms away near Karratha, via two subsea pipelines.
