Cetacean Monitoring Program
The objective of the Cetacean Monitoring Program (CMP) is to gather information about the patterns of use by cetacean species of the waters around Scott Reef, approximately 430 kilometres north of Broome, Western Australia.
The CMP includes methodologies for:
- Determining the seasonal abundance and locations of listed and priority cetacean species around Scott Reef for a continuous twelve month period; and
- Recording cetacean sightings in a manner compatible with the National Whale and Dolphin Sightings and Strandings database which is housed at the Australian Antarctic Division, Hobart.
The CMP is available for download below.
