Browse LNG Development
Browse is the largest of our world-scale greenfield potential LNG developments. We expect it to become a major contributor to our production growth and a material project for Australia as well as Woodside.
Browse Gas includes the Torosa, Brecknock, and Calliance discoveries. Combined the fields contain a contingent resource of about 18 trillion cubic feet of dry gas and 300 million barrels of condensate.
Woodside is considering several development options to process the Browse gas into Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Development options cover both offshore and onshore processing plant alternatives.
Supply from Browse is targeted to commence in the period from 2013-2015, subject to additional appraisal, customer negotiations and government approvals.
