The lifestyle

page_header_lifestyle.jpgWoodside is based in Western Australia. Here, you can choose to live and work in one of the world’s most modern and cosmopolitan cities or in one of Australia’s most spectacular regional areas.

Perth

Perth, on the majestic Swan River, is Western Australia’s (WA) state capital and home to a culturally diverse population of some 1,900,000 people. Renowned for its beautiful beaches and Mediterranean climate, the city offers a wonderful quality of life and continues to attract people from the world over. Little wonder Perth was recently named as one of the top ten travel destinations in the world by The New York Times.

Karratha

Karratha has developed into the largest and most economically diverse community in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is home to an estimated 19,000 people including permanent residents and fly-in / fly-out workers.  It’s located 1,557 kilometres north of Perth (approximately a two-hour flight). The weather is warm and pleasant all year around encouraging an outdoor lifestyle, which is complemented by beautiful beaches and stunning natural surrounds.  When not enjoying a backyard barbecue, you can head out and explore the spectacular gorges where you can sleep under a canopy of stars and bathe in rock pools. If you work up an appetite, you can fish for Red Emperor in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean or for the prized Barramundi in the freshwater creeks around the area.

Karratha boasts all the amenities a modern community could wish for. You’ll find a selection of schools, medical facilities and the largest shopping centre in the region. The recently completed recreation centre boasts a variety of sporting facilities catering to individuals and team sports.
